Introducing Two-Factor Authentication: Stronger Security for Your Sonikit Account

Security matters. Especially when you’re managing fan data, campaigns, analytics, and billing in one place.

Today, we’re excited to announce full support for two-factor authentication (2FA) across Sonikit. This new security feature adds an extra layer of protection to your account and gives you more control over how you verify sign-ins.

Whether you’re an artist, manager, label, or marketer, 2FA helps ensure that only you can access your account, even if your password is ever compromised.

What Is Two-Factor Authentication?

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second step to the login process.

In addition to your password, you’ll be asked to enter a temporary verification code generated on your phone or sent via SMS. Without both pieces of information, access is blocked.

This approach dramatically reduces the risk of:

  • Unauthorized logins

  • Account takeovers

  • Abuse of messaging tools or credits

  • Exposure of sensitive fan or analytics data

Two Ways to Secure Your Account

Sonikit supports two primary 2FA methods, so you can choose what works best for you.

🔐 Authenticator App (Recommended)

Authenticator apps generate secure, time-based codes directly on your device.

Why we recommend this option:

  • Works offline

  • Not dependent on mobile carriers

  • More resistant to phishing and SIM-swap attacks

  • Fast and reliable

Compatible with popular apps like Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, and more.

📱 SMS Verification

SMS verification sends a one-time code to your phone number when you sign in.

This option is convenient and easy to set up, and still significantly improves security compared to passwords alone.

For maximum protection, we recommend using an authenticator app whenever possible.

Recovery Codes: Your Backup Safety Net

When you enable 2FA, Sonikit generates recovery codes.

These are one-time backup codes you can use if you ever:

  • Lose your phone

  • Delete your authenticator app

  • Can’t receive SMS messages

Recovery codes are shown only once, so it’s important to store them somewhere safe—such as a password manager or secure offline location.

Easy to Enable, Easy to Manage

You can enable and manage two-factor authentication directly from your Account Settings in Sonikit.

From there, you can:

  • Turn 2FA on or off

  • Switch between verification methods

  • Update your phone number

  • Regenerate recovery codes

Setup takes just a few minutes and provides long-term peace of mind.
