How Magdalena Bay created an interactive fan experience with Sonikit

We teamed up with Magdalena Bay to bring their song, "You Lose!", to life in a custom , retro-styled web game. The biggest loser wins in this nod to the classic Space Invaders game, where fans pilot a synth spaceship to fight off oncoming monsters. As they play, fans can stream new music from the band directly via streaming services and pre-save their upcoming album.

In order to enter the experience to play the game, fans were first asked to pre-save the new music through the embedded Sonikit pre-save. Immediately after pre-saving, fans were greeted with a retro astroids-style game to play. The results drove early streams on week one of the release and a huge boost in social sharing.
